Clinton Proposes $7 Billion Program to Spur U.S. Job Creation
April 2 (Bloomberg) -- Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said she would offer $7 billion in tax incentives and government investments to encourage companies to create jobs in the U.S.

Clinton, 60, a New York senator, will discuss her plans during a campaign event in Pennsylvania today. Her campaign said the proposal represents ``the largest expansion of tax benefits for research and job growth in a generation.''

Pennsylvania has lost more than 200,000 manufacturing jobs since President George W. Bush took office in 2001 and both Clinton and rival Barack Obama are focusing on the economy as they campaign in the state. Clinton says she will also work to stop companies from shifting jobs to other countries by changing the U.S. tax code.

``Our government should get out of the business of rewarding companies for shipping jobs overseas, and get back into the business of rewarding companies that create good, high- wage jobs -- with good benefits -- right here in America,'' Clinton said in a statement released by her campaign.

1. Thats good, but Bear Stearns gets 30 billion cash.
And the cost of the war? I'm not slamming Hillary, but it seems we need a new deal. Not more trickle down.

2. Spend Spend Spend!!!!!
Hate to say it Clinton but I think we have plenty of evidence that the reason we have such a screwed up economy is because the dollar has no stability anymore.

The only thing you need to be thinking is tough love when it comes to interest rates and massive cuts in spending.

It sounds like no child left behind. Businesses will do anything to get a piece of this pie including cheating.

I do agree with something to end this BS of shipping our jobs overseas. That is aiding the destruction of the economy.

5. First claims she was against NAFTA to win Ohio. Now she's promising something she can never deliver
to try and woo PA. Didn't Bill do something like this? Promise a bunch of jobs to people that never came? Not sarcastic, just a question.
