"Rolling Sissy" Motorcycle wanna-bee's support Bush...what a laugh
I laughed when I saw the idiotic "Rolling Thunder" Motorcycle wanna-bees endorsing Bush. These losers should be called the "rolling sissy's". Were not talking about the Hell's Angels here. These "weekend Bikers" are about as much REAL Bikers, as Bush is a REAL Soldier. Most true Bikers (Hell's Angels) support Kerry the Vietnam veteran...not Bush the panty wearing momma's boy.

6. Bikers for Bush?
There are a lot of bikers where I live, and while some of them hate Bush, some of them are the biggest freepers around. It's hard to generalize.

At place called The Laid Back. A lot of bikers there and I didn't meet one that's voting for Dubya. Ohio bikers must rule!!

8. Go read "Hell's Angels" by Hunter S. Thompson for REAL bikers
His book is still the best portrayal of biker culture, even if it's now almost forty years old.

The "Rolling Thunder" thingy is a big joke. Real motorcylcle outlaws do NOT ride bikes with all those silly little accessories on them. Back in the 1960s, the term for those type of bikes was "junk wagons". The REAL outlaw bikers usually ride seriously chopped hogs with the big engines-- essentially little more than an engine with a seat, a gastank and wheels.

Yeah, those "Rolling Thunder" guys are strictly weekend warriors. They probably get a little worried if they get any grease under their fingernails, because it won't come out before they have to be back at the office on Monday morning.

13. I wouldn't compare the 1% r's with regular riders...
Most if not 99% of the clubs who ride are not outlaw nor are they Rolling Thunder. Rolling Thunder has always been made up of Republican types and Libertarians. I think they supported Bush over Gore in 2000 as well. That said, Hell's Angels is also not representative of clubs in the US.

9. You want to know what Harley's make me think of now?
Am I going to say rebellion or an outlaw mentality?

Nope.

It makes me think of fat 40+ white guys with graying beards and designer leathers trying desperately to look cool.

Honestly, everytime I see a bunch of these freaks with their bikes lined up in front of the local pre-fab strip mall pub it just makes me sad.

10. We used to get the weekend bikers up here...
...in our corner of the Lake Effect Zone. There was this bar at the end of the street that had "biker night" every Tuesday. All those people just CAN'T be traditional bikers. No way.

We eventually got rid of them. I think the fact that the superintendent of our school district lives maybe 150 yards from the place and was getting tired of having "bikers" pissing in their bushes because the portajohns were occupied might have had something to do with it.

These are the same assholes who roll up here in their big-ass trucks from New Jersey or wherever with two snowmobiles in tow every winter. Yeah sure, they endorse Bush. That's not news, and it's not worth worrying about it.

12. What is a Biker?
Edited on Tue Jun-01-04 01:55 PM by Mountainman
I ride a motorcycle to work just about every day. It gets good mileage but I wouldn't call my self a biker. I don't want to be known as a biker. I ride a Kawasaki Vulcan Mean Streak 1500. It is a "metric" bike.

There are many people who ride motorcycles that are not your typical biker.
