Who should Kucinich pick for VP?
Edited on Mon Jun-07-04 08:18 PM by tinanator
I dont know how many others DU'ers expect Kucinich to seize the nomination in one of the most remarkable nominationg conventions in the history of Man, but seeing how that will probably be the case, Id like to hear who you would like him to choose as a running mate. Sorry I cant craft a poll that conveniently leaves off certain possibilities, something that DK supporters have seen a lot of.
My preference would be Cynthia McKinney, who is yours?

Batman! Or better yet, Superman!

Then again, let's look at marvel superheroes...We got Spiderman and Wolverine...

Of course we could stick with your theme and go with Santa Claus or the Tooth Fairy...

That said, in all honesty it would be nice if someone like Kucinich could get elected. I would personally like Fiengold as VP.

6. Are you serious?
How pray tell, would Dennis Kucinich ever get nominated by the 2004 Democratic Convention delegates?

Even if Kerry were to drop out or not be the nominee there is no way given DK's perfrmance this year that he'd pick up the nomination.

12. Sen, Mark Dayton (D-MN)
He's grown himself a pair of big ones over the last several months! He was ON FIRE at the MN DFL convention in May, and even announced a plan to get us out of Iraq in six months!

Better yet, he even TOLD Kucinich delegates at the convention to "light a fire under John Kerry"!. I heard him say it myself! He's got a lot of respect for DK, and I think he'd be good for getting those Kerry supporters on board-- after all, he came out early for Kerry in the primaries! Dayton has grown immensely as a public servant and as a Senator in the last two years since Wellstone's untimely death, and he's definately ready for prime time.

Two midwesterners on the same ticket? Who cares! Both OH and MN are considered "swing states" this year. With a Kucinich/Dayton ticket, we'd get them both!

:hi:

46. Tactically, Dean
IF this somehow happened (sadly, I can't imagine how or why it would happen), I'd say that Dean would be the smartest choice since it would consolidate an alliance between the 21st Century Democrats and Democracy For America, which would be an urgent necessity to hold onto the party while the DLCers regrouped from whatever freak accident had wiped out Kerry and all of their backup candidates and hence given Kucinich the nomination. Of course, politically Kucinich has relatively little in common with Dean (who had a "fiscally conservative", pro-business and decidedly anti-welfare bent as Governor of Vermont), but that doesn't matter all that much, since with Kucinich at the top of the ticket Dean would be selling out to him rather than vice versa. ;)

Well The Daily Show DID make a very convincing case as to how when you put the number of votes Kucinich compared to Kerry's in scientific notation it truly appears that Kucinich has the advantage.

Look not for nothin Kucinich is a guy who means well, but you die hard supporters are just a little too out there....
