Their has been a almost "movie star" or "pro athlete" infatuation with these two guys. I am not saying its a bad thing. I am just saying its more fanatic then it has been in years past. So who is more fanatic? I pick Clarke people. Some of them are still convinced that the General will be the VP nominee.

2. "I pick Clarke people".
Hmm, I didn't realize that Richard Clarke was in the running for VP.

Nice copycat thread, by the way.

3. Hmmm, throwing a rock into a hornet's nest post...lovely.
And what reason, specifically, should we Clark supporters not believe the General could be VP?

Clark -- 49 appearances on behalf of Kerry

Dean -- 20 appearances on behalf of Kerry

Edwards -- 18 appearances on behalf of Kerry

NOTHING irrational in the belief it COULD be Clark who gets the nod...

10. This doesn't prove anything....
I'm sorry, but I have seen you post this before and I'm not sure when you are starting your appearances for Kerry by Clark from.

Are you starting your count from the moment he dropped out of the Presidential race? If you recall both Dean and Edwards were still running against Kerry then. And Clark was doing everything he could, to wrap things up for Kerry.

Dean then went down after he dropped and wouldn't endorse anyone, but was reforming his organization. Edwards was still trying to see if he could get some wins and Clark...he was still on the road for Kerry acting against Edwards at the time.

After Super Tuesday, Edwards dropped out and took some time off. Dean arranged for a later date to endorse Kerry. Edwards went back to the Senate to do some catch-up there. He started to make appearance like with my Senator, Patty Murray and other key races. Races that WE need to win.

And he has his job...he's a Senator and we need him in the Senate. Clark's main job is Wespac and campaigning for Kerry and being on Kerry's Military advisory council. He holds no other office and of course his schedule is more free. Edwards is totally booked for June and helping in the Senate and House racing IS helping Kerry. It's helping the Democrats in general.

But if you are going to keep putting that appearance count up make sure you that make the Count for Clark from the time after Edwards dropped and Kerry had enough votes to be the official nominee. Otherwise you are knocking Dean and Edwards down for not campaigning for the guy that they were running against while they were still in the race!

And on a side note, I like Clark well enough, but I still think he's set for a cabinet position. If he gets VP, I'll be fine with that. He's my second choice.

5. Kerry supporters are most "fanatic"
Edited on Tue Jun-08-04 09:54 PM by JI7
because even when everyone else said his campaign was over we didn't give up and he ended up winning a lot of states. and in the few states he lost it was because the candidates had somepersonal connection to the state and he still came in second in those states. and in oklahoma where clark and edwards were almost tied at top kerry was not too far behind in third place. :toast:

7. Heh. You forgot Kerry supporters. Perhaps that requires a "who's more
dull Kerry or Lieberman supporters" thread? :P

I know Kerry's our nominee and all... ;)

12. More Clark(for vp) people refuse to give second or third choices
of who they'd want for veep. It's like they live in an imaginary world where noone else is in consideration. I'm just talking about those people, not all Clark for vp people.

13. In all fairness, I didn't see a lot of Dean, Kucinich, etc. supporters
who were willing to consider alternatives to their candidates during the primaries, so I don't see what the big deal is with having one preference for VP. During the primaries, there were tons of people who said that they would vote for their candidate and no one else.

Some of them left DU in a huff when their chosen candidates didn't happen to win the nomination. At least most of the Clarkies are still around and are overwhelmingly supporting Kerry now.
