3. Whatever happened to rapid response?
Punishment of idiot unnamed Democrats talking to the press?
A campaign manager that other Democrats won't fuck with?

31. This doesn't need rapid response
Edited on Sat Jun-12-04 12:37 PM by MontecitoDem
why do you think this news story is such a bad thing?

Personally, I think it's a political manuever that will help Kerry in the end, not hurt him. But we won't know for a while.

And people saying that it makes the eventual VP choice look second best - who cares? Is it gonna change one single vote away from Kerry if his eventual VP choice is considered by some to be 2nd best?

Damn, handwringing Saturday morning threads are getting me Down!

12. Right... and...
what else is Kerry supposed to do? He's run a fantastic campaign so far. I don't know what you're expecting... when the time comes, Kerry will play dirty if necessary. Read up on the 1996 race with Gov. Weld.

true source for this latest Kerry/McCain flap?

And why are you so willing to buy it wholesale?

the only thing that matters is the latest right wing lie spread by the media?

18. If this came from a campaign staffer who came from another campaign
then they should all be rooted out and kicked out the door.

That's the 4th story (the second time for this one) that is coming out of Boston. There is that two bit reporter on that Boston paper that's putting out stuff and he's getting it from somewhere.

25. Because a two-bit reporter in Boston is a convenient way to
spread this sort of thing. There are also elements in Boston that detest Kerry. It could be coming from a few places, mischief to either screw the campaign OR accomplish another goal...It's happened multiple times from this reporter......

Are you seriously arguing that because it "could be" coming from a few places it "must be" really true?

26. I Think Kerry Is Doing Just Fine.
He's ahead in almost every poll, he's raising money.

And he is not scaring away undecided voters who are more and more turning off to Bush.

Kerry creamed my candidate, Howard Dean.

Let's just get behind him and quit second guessing everything he does.

Kerry can not and should not respond to every daily news report.

MikeG, I respect your wish to see more action, but look at the polls at where Kerry was just three months ago and where he is now.

30. Why? You looking for work?
Kerry leads strongly in every major poll except one. The LA Times has him at 52 to Bush's 44. Clearly, however, your keen strategic mind can do better.

Or something.

except to summon the names Dukakis and Carville.

I'm in awe that Kerry hasn't handed his campaign over to you yet. Stay by your phone. I'm sure he'll be calling you soon.
