In the publishing world, at least, the former president's passing has not provided any bounce to conservative books.
While sales have jumped this week for such Reagan books as "I Love You, Ronnie," and "Reagan: A Life in Letters," little change has been reported in sales of conservative books overall.
"Most of the interest, and much of what customers are looking for in Reagan books, is around Reagan the man; his family, his letters, his life," says Susan Yeager, a spokeswoman for the superstore chain Borders.
"All conservative and liberal books continue to sell well on their own merits," says Bob Wietrak, a vice president for merchandising at Barnes & Noble, Inc.
