2002: Bush Wants Investigation in Private

With September 11th families pressing for a public independent commission to investigate 9/11, President Bush has said inquiries into Sept. 11 should be done by congressional intelligence committees because lawmakers on those panels "understand the obligations of upholding our secrets."

1999: Republican Criticizes Bush's Leadership

"Instead of making that commitment, Governor Bush talks about all sorts of side issues and avoids the heart of the matter. It's consistent with his lack of leadership, quite frankly, generally." Republican Gary Bauer commenting on George Bush's refusal to take a stance on abortion.

2003: "Convinced of weapon programs"

BUSH: "Iraq had a weapons program. Intelligence throughout the decade showed they had a weapons program. I am absolutely convinced with time we'll find out they did have a weapons program."
