Why I'm almost certain Cheney will remain on the ticket
aside from the fact that he's actually the real president anyway, if he was knocked off the * campaign has wasted a couple million $ in merchandise. */Cheney 2004 bumper stickers, lawn signs, t-shirts, ect. have been massively pressed and are already everywhere. And since Kerry is raising more than * now, he no longer has money to burn. Taking Cheney off the ticket would just hurt them overall, even if they cite health reasons they could be blasted for not recognizing this sooner and it'd be more proof * isn't capable of forethought, ect.

1. It would come off as a sign of
desperation.

3. But he could conveniently have a heart attack
accidentally on purpose which would absolve the admin from the embarrassment of removing him. In sympathy I'm sure donors would crawl out of their woodwork.

2. The Shrub never changes his mind
even when he is proven wrong.

Besides, the base loves Cheney.

4. I think its too late now, although I bet they want to.
Having another true believer bushista peel off would be very bad for the base's morale.

5. How about the simple fct that Bush* doesn't know what the hell
he's doing! He NEEDS Cheney! Bush may be the head but Cheney is the neck and the head can't make a move without the neck.

6. the GOP worry about spending money? I doubt it.
replacement signs could already be in the warehouse

the GOP worried about the timing?
they have the Corporate Media Spin Machine to make any transition smooth ... they'll TCB for the GOP ... come through again ...

but, the GOP just might stay the curse through the election ... and, then, Cheney steps down and replaced ... all depending on Diebold holding House and Senate, etc.

Dick doesn't need to be officially in office to be the shadow pResident which he probably currently is, unofficially.

Maybe they'll go with Mitt Romney ...

7. I don't see a change
How can they keep preaching the message "don't change horses" if they change the horse (or is Cheney the jockey... never can tell these days...)

8. Power is God to this crew
They don't want to dump Cheney for all the good reasons already cited. But heart problems can be very timely, so they can have "a change of heart" at the last second if they become desperate enough, or if Cheney gets repeatedly more damaging press.

Principles are secondary to this oligarchy. The only two Republicans who I can think of who could conceivably boost the ticket more than switching horses would hurt it are McCain and Rudy Giuliani. The oligarchy doesn't trust McCain and the Religious Right would have fits with a Pro Choice VP BUT I think they would swallow it IF they felt defeat was otherwise certain.

10. Why you're wrong: Cheyney will have "health problems"
He won't be "knocked off" the ticket. He will become an object of sympathy (blechh!).

True a few $million of campaign paraphernalia will be wasted (except to collectors), but that means nothing to them.
