Cut poverty rate in half in 10 years???
Obama agrees to commit to cut the poverty rate in half in 10 years. He also has the knowledge to do so with humility, realizing that it will be an enormous task.

"We've got a lot of work to do economically in this country to bring about a more just and fair economy."

Here here President Obama!!!

5. It was a good moment for him because of that:
Precisely because he was so damn hesitant and serious about it. There is something really pleasant about watching the gears turn in Obama's head...

4. At least he's willng to try.
That's hardly the position of someone who would be considered an elitist.

12. I imagine that the poverty rate in this country would already be cut in half
If we had avoided the Reagonomics of Globalisation, and had supported solar power.
Also if we had avoided the costly Iraq War.

Solar power was starting to appear in about one out of three upper income homes back when Carter was seeing that appropriate tax cuts were issued for homeowners who had it.

Then Reagan came along and immediately those cuts went away.

14. Oh, then he isn't going to double the quota on H-1b visas?
Bringing people in on work visas is the same as outsourcing, it means Americans are not getting American jobs. Only with H-1b visas, it is more in our face. We are unemployed or underemployed while the imported tech worker is driving around in his Lexus or BMW.
