8. Just as we had the primaries...
...supporters of some candidates are thrashing one another as if there screaming actually meant something. I voted for GORE/lieberman, I'll vote for KERRY/whoever.

Wow, F911 commercial right now on Comedy Channel.

WOO-HOO!

3. Kerry/Ham Sandwich 2004!
Assuming Kerry will really pick lunchmeat for VP, I'd still support the lunchmeat for VP over Cheney.

11. Kerry/Dust ball
Let's face it, Bush is so awful that even with Lieberman (ugh) on the ticket, we'd vote for Kerry.

His choice of VP will either *excite* me or *really excite* me.

He has my vote, regardless.

10. I'd vote for Kerry/Quayle over Bush/Cheney
I think the country is better off with Quayle one heart beat away from the Presidency, than with Cheney acting as President.

12. As I've said all along, I'll accept any antiNRA candidate
As long as the VP candidates are for strengthening the AWB, closing loopholes and strong enforcement of present weapons laws, I'm good with them.

13. Yup Bill. You would. :)
When the Bush Attack Squad starts hitting the Kerry Camp over their "errors" in some of their public statements and get them painted as either ill-informed or soft on crime and so forth...don't say I didn't warn you. There are better brands of gun control out there. I showed you some that are working but have gotten no comment back from you. Why is that?

17. I'm supporting Kerry
no matter who he picks as VP, assuming that it's not something crazy like a Bush.

I strongly prefer Wes Clark, and will be alot more enthusiastic if it's him, but it won't affect my vote.

Anyone would make a better pres than Bush and likewise aanyone would be a better VP than Dick head Cheney...

20. Kerry/Plate of smelly cheese
As long as the cheese is a Democrat. :)

The only thing that would give me pause is some really unacceptable republican. I would live with say, someone whose name begins with an "M" but I wouldn't like it.

It doesn't matter much where I come from, anyways, he has NY locked up, thank god.

I don't know...Tom DeLay might make me think twice, but I doubt we're going to be seeing that. I'd have even gone with McCain, even though I don't like him much more than an iota or two.

I'm for Kerry.

26. No,
At this point, there is only one person that I think is possible that Kerry might pick that would make me vote for him - Bob Graham. I am neutral towards Clark and Edwards. Neither one makes Kerry any more palatable. And if he picks someone like Gephardt, or some no-name like Vilsak, that will guarantee that he won't get my vote.

Edited on Fri Jun-18-04 11:03 PM by JohnKleeb
Why does it have to be a big name? What makes Graham so good also. You should be voting for Kerry regardless but , if youre not gonna vote for Kerry because of the VP, then I would say that says more about you than John Kerry. BTW also things rarely ever go the way we want them to go, I am not going to a four year college out of high school so does that mean, I should just give up on a post hs education.

I lied, there's only one: Howard Dean.

I lied again, I'm not that fucking stupid that I'd rather the country go to hell because Kerry didn't pick someone I like.

31. For the most part yes
I can deal with Gephart, Clark, Edwards, Clinton and most of the front runners for VP. If he were to select someone like Lieberman or McCain, I would say no. Lieberman might as well just join the republican party, he sucks ass to put it mildly. He is Pro War, Pro Censorship, and Anti Civil Rights. He is just as bad as bush, and in some ways, even worse. McCain, who looks like he wont be chosen, would be a horrible VP also.

38. Reply
What I mean by this, is How Lieberman is Anti Gay Marrige, Pro Death Penalty, and Pro Censorship. Lieberman has shown himself to ally with Religious Right far to many times.

Now I relize that Kerry has flip flopped on 2 of the issues I just mentioned. But maybe he can help correct his mistakes by getting a good VP

34. Kerry/Yellow dog
Yellow dog dem here. But it does indeed depend on what your definition of support is...
Vote? as opposed to pulling out my fingernails one by one? Of course.

But canvassing neighborhoods and letting the air out of the tires of known republicans in my precinct, well that may depend on who the vp is. :)

37. As a recent , reluctant, convert to Kerry, he could still lose my vote.
If he should select someone like Bayh. It would be very, very, hard to stick with him if he chose Rose Garden Gephardt. Hopefully, he will pick an anti-war candidate to balance the ticket.
