Vice President Spitzer?
That's NY Attorney General Eliot Spitzer, a rather popular fellow around here.

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/06/14/opinion/main623018.shtml

a small clip that summarizes the whole thing:

There is no exotic calculus about it: Spitzer is a popular hero because he is the one politician to have done something concrete for all the people. He has led the corps of state attorneys general in specific and winnable legal battles against corporate criminality.

1. As a former Ner Yorker,
I would highly recommend him. He is the most hard working, intelligent and squeaky-clean public servant I have ever seen in my life.

2. And topping the list of worst-sounding campaign tickets...
Kerry/Spitzer '04!

Just beating out "Kerry/Nunn '04" and "Kerry/Vilsack '04".

4. Sounds like a chick drink.
But I don't see how it sounds as bad as Bush/Cheney.

5. What a great criterion
by which to choose the vice president.

I hear their moon signs are in conflict, too.

3. I'd vote for that.
The guy has been US AG in exile for four years, he could play a valuable role in Kerry's admin.

I don't think he'll be picked, but I'd love to see him go national in some capacity.

7. As Att. Gen.
is where Mr. Spitzer could be the most effective. especially if he were armed with the ability to revoke corps' charters. Also he would be a world shaker as head of IRS. IMHO

9. I may be in the minority around here, but we did lose money
on Global Crossings based on an advice of Smith Barney and it bothered me that Spitzer got them to pay millions of dollars.... to whom exactly? The State of NY General Funds? - instead of dividing the sum among the investors on whose behalf, supposedly, he collected the money.

I would be perfectly happy to recover even 10 cents on the dollar instead of joining a class action suit where the lawyers get their chunk.

Just my personal distaste..
