Clintonmania: boon or bane for Kerry?

Clintonmania: boon or bane for Kerry?
AFP

FROM: http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/afp/20040620/pl_afp/us_clinton_kerry&cid=1521&ncid=2043
WASHINGTON, (AFP) - Former president Bill Clinton (news - web sites), buoyed by huge interest in his memoirs, is champing at the bit to campaign for Democratic heir John Kerry (news - web sites) but the jury is still out as to whether he will be an asset or liability.

Clinton's vice president Al Gore (news - web sites) kept him at arm's length during his 2000 contest against George W. Bush, not wanting to be tainted by his boss's sexual peccadilloes. But Kerry aides say things will be different this time out.

"President Clinton (news - web sites) has offered to be helpful to the campaign and we certainly expect to take him up on that offer," Kerry spokeswoman Allison Dobson told AFP.

Indeed Kerry, a four-term senator from Massachusetts, has cloaked himself in Clinton's centrist "New Democrat" banner hoping to ride out Republican attempts to brand him as an arch left-winger.

1. Clintonmania won't last
He got dissed hard for that book in NY Times (tomorrow) and in other pubs.

Clinton fatigue is soon to return with a vengeance.

Sorry.

Public might be more interested in the book by the anonymous CIA official.

here's another: Raygun's croaking - boon or bane for W?
Both idiotic questions, but only one is asked. I wonder why?

4. Boon.
The best help he can offer Kerry is to rehabilitate his own image, and remind America that things WERE better when he was POTUS!
