Vernon Jordan to Lead Kerry Debate Negotiations
<The John Kerry for President campaign announced Monday that prominent investment banker, attorney and Clinton administration veteran Vernon Jordan will be Senator Kerry's lead debate negotiator. With a series of Presidential debates proposed for this fall, Jordan, currently Senior Managing Director of Lazard LLC and of counsel at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, will play a key role in Kerry's campaign to build an America that is stronger at home and respected abroad.

"I'm honored to have Vernon Jordan leading my debate negotiation efforts," Kerry said. "Vernon is an outstanding Democrat but more importantly, someone who has lived his life striving to expand opportunity and make the American Dream a reality for Americans from all walks of life."

"Tapping into America's optimistic spirit, Senator Kerry has developed a comprehensive plan to strengthen our nation and help families get ahead," said Jordan. "I'm honored to join his campaign and look forward to this fall's debates -- where the American people will see the clear choice facing them in November between more of the failed Bush record and John Kerry's optimistic plan to build a stronger America."

"Vernon Jordan will be a tremendous asset in our debate negotiations, and we are thrilled to have him join this campaign," said Kerry Campaign Manger Mary Beth Cahill. "This fall, voters across the country will have the opportunity to see the stark contrast between George Bush's stubborn leadership and John Kerry's plan to strengthen the economy, lift up hardworking families and make America safer at home and more respected in the world.">

1. No freakin' questions in advance for Bush...
and no freakin' Tim Russert or any of the other "usual suspects." Let's have some relatively unknown reading questions written by a wide variety of journalists or others and picked from a hat. Let's have some tough, aggressive questions. And then we'll see who's better suited to lead this country just by the relative brainpower that's displayed.

2. There is no doubt in my mind who
has more brain power. Even a bird has more than the chimp. How? Oh, how did he ever get into this office? I know, I know, the SC gave it to him.
