Who do you THINK is going to be the running mate?
I know we have lots of Edwards fans, Deaniacs, and Clarkies here, so it's pretty easy to tell who each of us wants to see as Kerry's VP.

But I'm asking a different question... it's prediction time, folks.

WHO DO YOU THINK WILL ACTUALLY BE NAMED AS KERRY'S RUNNING MATE?

7. Hear, hear!
I still laugh when I think about his insistence that Ashcroft present Congress with a "writ of douchebaggery."

3. Edwards.
I'm a Deaniac but I think that Edwards would just be a smart pick... I think he will be the one. But obviously I am not one for getting predictions right since I have never won the lottery!

5. Clark ....
Edwards is a sitting Senator in a right leaning state .... Though I adore him, he is too valuable to America where he is ...

8. Edwards isn't running for re-election to the Senate.
He opted to forgo a Senate campaign to focus on the Presidential campaign. Fortunately, Erskine Bowles (D) is looking good so far in the NC Senate race to replace Edwards.

6. Either Bob Kerrey(sp?)
or Bob Graham. Graham would certainly help out in Florida. He might even make sure they're honest this time around. In actuality, I don't really nthink that Bob Kerrey will be the running mate, just an idea I thought I'd throw out there.

9. Gephardt
I think he's got the inside track. All the blue states plus Missouri wins the election plus Gephardt has a long resume, could work with Congress, has labor creds, crossover appeal, and won't upstage Kerry.

16. My prediction: Bill Richardson
Incredible resume, both domestic and foreign policy experience, huge appeal among Hispanic voters, from a battleground state (and could even have coattails into Arizona as well)...

About the only criticism I've heard is that he likes the camera a little too much. Other than that, he sounds like the perfect running mate to me.
