Clinton on VP choice - on Charlie Rose now:
A VP should be someone you are confortable working with every day and confident he can take over for you if needed

1. No, a VeeP should be some one that Ralph Nader suggests and
that the media keeps pressing to the American people. Let Nader and the media pick your VeeP.

7. Excuse me?
You're accusing Bill Clinton of pushing conspiracy theories.

I mean - the man said what he said. Duh.

13. Geez, spread some hate elsewhere
Those you describe as "you Clarkies" were just posting about Clinton's interview. They didn't say anything about Clark. WTF?

Aren't people who support Clark allowed to post anything without an ad hominem attack?

Let's all take a deep breath now ..... Ommmmmmmmm.....

16. Clinton didn't exactly endorse anyone, thank you very much.

The original post says absolutely nothing about Clark, and yet the Edwards camp immediately goes on defensive????

Was it something Clinton said? ;)

18. "The Edwards camp" is one person, and he responded to post #1,

which is a very clear negative statement about Edwards, since he is the only person Nader recommended.

I try to avoid these slanging matches but we really need to be fair about who's attacking whom.

19. Fair enough
It may be a select few, and I concede.

I just find it incredibly fascinating that we are constantly accused of "grasping at straws" and the like, when in fact, we are no more or less enthusiastic than the ones pointing their fingers.

4. if Kerry didn't feel he could work with them or they could take over
he would not be considering them for vp in the first place.

6. There's the most honest...
down-to-earth picture of Kerry that I have ever seen. Just great. "The kid is alright!"

9. Smart man. Isn't he?
I would rather listen to Bill Clinton's advice instead of the media.

11. Clinton picking Gore really said a lot about Clinton.
He was confident enough to pick a strong VP (instead of the Democratic version of Quayle).

14. It will be most interesting to learn who it is that Kerry will eventually
Ultimately, I just don't think it will matter this season. This election will be a referendum on BushCo.

But the selection WILL tell us much about Kerry, to whom he listens, how he sees his own candidacy, etc...

15. Good thought
A vice president may swing a state or two but I do think it will tell us a great deal about Kerry. So far I'm pretty impressed. He's not letting anything get out. Is making the media and all us political junkies chase our tails leaping on every clue.

I also like the way he's making the potential veeps go through their paces for the good of the party--as well as impressing JK.

I don't really have a horse in this race so it should be fun to see who he picks.

17. I think it will matter.

The election will be close in many states. If the Republicans can use the VP pick to hammer Kerry, it will make a difference. If it didn't make a difference, the coporate controlled media would not be pushing so hard for the personal injury attorney.
