I know there is a tread in LBN about this so delete this if necessary but here is what I want to say.
Where I work, the place is being run by what I call a process oriented person. To her the rules and the process are most important. I think that she believes in the process so much that she feels the results will be what they should be because the process is good. Well the results of her process are not good and either she is oblivious to that fact or she just doesn't want to deal with it.
I am what I call a results oriented person. Like one of Steven Covey's 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, I try to see the end first. The process is not so important to me if the desired result is attained. Now this is not an absolute for me but comes close.
People who want a third party candidate but are opposed to Bush's re-selection, are process oriented I think. To me the most most important result needed in this years election is the defeat of Bush, being process oriented, or wanting a third party candidate this year is not going to bring about that result.
If you are really interested in defeating Bush you would not support a third party candidate this year or in other words, you would reject the process and look to the results as being most important. If you do support third party candidates in this years election, in my opinion you don't really give a damn about the result and you are as responsible for Bush's re-selection as any repub that votes for him or tries to get Nader on the ballot.
Flame away.
