Vilsack, Edwards coy about veep
latest reports suggest vilsack is no longer in consideration. he seemed like a good vp choice at first being a governor and from the midwest including a specific swing state. but the thing with the english only bill he supported should hurt his chances of being picked.

<Once Kerry’s rival for the Democratic presidential nomination, Edwards has campaigned extensively for him in recent months. But Edwards politely refused to answer questions from reporters on whether he wants to join the senator from Massachusetts on the presidential ticket.
.
“Right now, I am entirely focused on making sure that John Kerry is president for the next eight years, and that’s what I intend to spend my time and energy on,” he said.

Asked about his chances of being tapped as a running mate, Vilsack said the question should be directed to Kerry.
.
“That is his decision and his decision alone,” the governor said. “He’ll make the right decision for the country and for the party. I’m anxious to work hard for John Kerry and his running mate. I’ll support his decision 100 percent.”
.
He also brushed off questions about the promise he made during the 2002 campaign to serve his complete four-year term as governor if re-elected.>
