Kind of as a joke but I figured, what the Hell, I get the inside scoop on the latest Bush campaign via email and if they ever call me I'll tell them I changed my mind and I am now voting for Kerry after seeing Fahrenheit 9/11 !

They can waste some of their War Chest by sending me Bush/Cheney junk snail mail.

I also told them my most important concerns are Compassion (actual choice, I'm not kidding, LOL) and Energy.

1st email from Bush/Cheney:

"Dear John:

Thank you for being a Bush Volunteer, as a leader of the grassroots team President Bush will be counting on you. Each week, we will be sending you the inside scoop from campaign leaders, event notices, action alerts, as well as other important opportunities to re-elect President Bush right to your inbox. Ask five friends to join the Bush Team now!

1. You are brave
I used to get all kinds of Repug junk mail awhile back. Some of it was really offensive. Made me more anit-Bush if that was at all possible.

2. R-mail
We get a lot of Republican snail mail. If I get it, I send back an empty postpaid envelope; if he gets it, he stuffs it with anti-Bush flyers before he sends it back.

6. I can always tell when junk mail is from the RNC
I have a hyphenated last name, and RNC propaganda is always addressed to "Mrs.," without fail. Stuff from the DNC is always addressed to Ms., which is what I use. It makes for a very easy screening method! And it's kind of interesting, too, I think.

5. It's my wife's side business - she makes beautiful bracelets
That gives me an idea for the website: I might add an option for political saying bracelets.

7. They'll filter you out. They crosscheck the lists.
If you are a registered Democrat, they'll spot that and cross you off their list.

9. Well, all I know is that I signed up on website to receive e-mails.
I got one or two. Then they stopped. I signed up again. But I never got another one.

Since I'm registered, I figured they crosschecked their lists and discovered I'm a Dem. But maybe they got a list that I was on a Democratic mailing or e-mail list. Somehow they knew. I don't think they would've let a possible contributor get away.

10. They still send mail to the former owner of my house, who hasn't lived
here for more than 12 years. So they must not check their lists too carefully. There's always a chance that you can get back on!

12. What it should read is "I'm a Zell Miller democrat"
And I think they'd get the picture.

13. Be careful -
I was a "team leader" but unsubscribed when they started sending me virus-infected emails! It would be the regular newsletter format, but with a virus attached.
