Anyone See Comparisons Of Cheney and Kerry Using F- Word?

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Vice President Dick Cheney blurted out the "F word" at Democratic Sen. Patrick Leahy of Vermont during a heated exchange on the Senate floor, congressional aides said on Thursday.

The incident occurred on Tuesday in a terse discussion between the two that touched on politics, religion and money, with Cheney finally telling Leahy to "f--- off" or "go f--- yourself," the aides said.

Leahy and other Democrats have called for congressional hearings into whether the vice president helped the firm win lucrative contracts in Iraq after the U.S.-led war that toppled Saddam Hussein.

During their exchange, Leahy noted that Republicans had accused Democrats of being anti-Catholic because they are opposed to some of President Bush's anti-abortion judges, the aides said.

That's when Cheney unloaded with the "F-bomb," aides said.

White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card yesterday called on his home state's senator to apologize to President Bush, calling it ``beneath'' John F. Kerry to use an expletive to blast Bush's handling of the Iraq war.

Local and national Republicans joined the fray, saying Kerry's comments seemed to be prompted by his steady drop in primary polls.

``A drop in the polls seems to correspond with a drop in word choice for Sen. Kerry,'' RNC spokeswoman Lindsay Taylor said. ``It's not the type of language you would expect to hear from a leader.''

``John Kerry's pathetic campaign has sunk to a new low,'' added Massachusetts Republican Party Executive Director Dominick Ianno. ``It's to the point where he just keeps embarrassing himself.''

``Did I expect George Bush to f--- it up as badly as he did? I don't think anybody did,'' Kerry said, not deleting the expletive.

Kerry, speaking to reporters on a conference call from San Diego yesterday, refused to answer questions about the dust-up.

A Kerry spokesman said Bush won't get any apology.

The driver, Marvin, whom Kerry discovered in a windsurfing shop, swings left past the Washington Monument while Kerry's young communications director, David Wade, reads off another phone number for his boss to call.

Noting my physical discomfort beside him in the backseat, Wade asks Kerry, "Sir, have you ever considered getting a bigger car?" Kerry shoots back, "No, but I have thought about cutting all your f***ing legs off at the knees." Then he waves a hand at the green world outside. "Look at this weather," he exclaims.. "If I could, I'd go roll around on the grass somewhere ideally a spot where a dog hadn't been."

What's good for the goose is not good for the gander here. Don't we always have a double standard with the repugs? They can do no wrong; we can do no right. Is that why they are called the Right?? And we should be the wrong??? then.
