I think both would be fabulous and I would be extatic with either!

-I was impressed with them both during the primaries
-Both give us some nice geographical bonuses
-They both have energy out the wazoo
-And, although I have little to nothing to base this on, I think they would both work really well with Kerry and be outstanding candidates in 2012!

Even for the people who do have preferences, it's a minor point.

name I don't care.

5. I'm with you, giving Clark a slight edge on the Foreign Affairs & Defense
aspect--Edwards will be attacked as a novice on those, but his charisma carries a lot of weight, and evens the two out as choices, IMO.

24. Slight edge on FA & Defense?
More like the grand canyon separating the two.

26. Four-star Gen gets "slight edge" over trial lawyer?
Wes Clark was opposed to the war from the start. Of the three, he is the only one on the right side of the most important issue of the day.

Side point (not addressed to you in particular): How will the public feel if we choose two pro-war guys, same as the Repugs? Here is a chance for Kerry to at least appear to differ with Bush's foreign policy.

8. I love them both
They both bring their own strengths to the ticket. It'll be up to the campaign to do the number crunching and decide whether to go to the economy or the war. I'm betting they'll go economy and optimism, but who knows. There's lots of other great possibilities as well. I have a few I hope he doesn't pick, but Clark or Edwards would be great.

And arguing about it is a complete waste of energy that could be better spent getting voters registered or something useful like that.

10. I want to see Edwards as AG
I worry about the sheeple. The repukes are great at soundbites and a "trial lawyer" gives them to many opportunities to bash Edwards which results in bashing the Dem ticket. Edwards is a great guy, he would better serve the Dems by being the AG and running in 2012 for Pres. when he would have a different record to run on. Personaly I don't think Clark would run for Pres. after 8 years as a veep. I think his main concern is to turn this country around and would be willing to pass the baton to a younger man or woman in 2012. Edwards/Clinton 2012.

13. wrong number
I'd like to have my sig line back. I'm tired of Democrats are doomed posts designed to boost ones own VP choice.

I love them both. I love them both. I love them both. Why don't you try saying that until it sinks in that we'd be privileged to have either of them for VP?

How 'bout it? Can we turn our attention to the REAL GOAL?

12. great point...you hit it on the nail...
Both would be great and Both bring excellent bonuses with them. Even Gephardt brings some excellent bonuses with him.

And yes, I also think that either one would work well with Kerry.

Thanks for saying this...it needs to be heard..

14. While I do care
I think both men bring a lot to the plate so to speak. Whether Kerry picks one or the other will effect the complexion of the campaign, what points get emphasized in which ways etc. That's part of what a Presidential nominee needs to think about when choosing a VP. But both Clark and Edwards have a lot to offer and I will be thrilled if either one of them become our next VP.

Who cares anymore? Will anyone really vote for Bush because their "guy" isn't chosen? Aren't there more important things we can talk about?

You are not the only one. I'm fine with either. I've been pretty sure Kerry wouldn't choose a primary contender, but hope I'm wrong on that one.

more than anything else I want us to defeat *. Clark's my favorite but if Edwards can get the job done I have no problem with him as VP.

25. Either one would work great!
I watched Edwards give a speech in Iowa during the caucuses, and I felt he had great charisma. He is a fresh face in the political world, and he could really draw out the younger demographic (from personal experience, people who weren't Kerry or Dean supporters flocked to Edwards when their candidate didn't get enough votes to advance in my caucus). Though I haven't seen Clark personally, he has just as much to add to the ticket as Edwards would. I would be happy with either of them!

27. I prefer Clark, but
Edwards will do just fine, thank you. At this point I would take a Mickey Mouse/Donald Duck ticket if it gets the chimp out of the oval office.

But I do prefer Clark - I believe that he can get the crossover vote much more easily than Edwards. But Edwards, I think, could do very, very well also - so I'm happy with either of them.
