he criticizes Cobb and the Greens for the same.

Ralph Nader, after losing the endorsement of the Green Party has some criticism for them:

"If you're trying to build a political movement, you don't turn your backs on people who happen to live in so-called close states," Nader said. "Our plan is to get as many votes nationally as possible. "We're campaigning all-out." ~ Ralph Nader - This week.

Ralph Nader when he was courting the endorsement of the Greens:

http://discover.npr.org/features/feature.jhtml?wfId=1972353

"Nader says he is running for the office as a way to steer the Democratic Party toward an agenda he advocates. The longtime consumer advocate wants would-be supporters to attend his rallies, but he says he wants them to feel free to cast their votes for Sen. John Kerry once they enter the voting booth -- especially in swing states where their vote might help defeat President Bush." Ralph Nader - Last week.

Hmmm, the many faces of Ralph Nader ...

1. Pretty much what he did last time - change his position on swing states.
There's an entire new crop of college kids this time around though, so maybe he figures they weren't old enough to remember that.

3. Yes, I'm certain that had he got the Green nomination, he'd have
changed his tune by the end of the week anyhow.

:hi:

6. ever since his attacks on michael moore's weight
Edited on Mon Jun-28-04 08:11 PM by JI7
i have lost a lot of respect for him. i can understand health concerns. but this was mean spirited attack on moore for not backing nader rather than concern for moore's health . and if you are concerned that sure isn't the way to show it.

and i'm not one of those huge michael moore fans either . he can be criticized himself for some things. such as backing nader in 2000. but you don't do it by attacking his appearance.

at first i thought this was just a rumor or people were claiming things based on something else nader said. but i read the quotes themselves and it just seemed "bizarre".

8. Michael Moore is a sloppy fat punk
But he's OUR sloppy fat punk. Who cares what Nader said about Moore? The fact is, Moore's film kicks big (sloppy fat) ass. And we are going to win in part because Michael Moore has opened a lot of people's eyes.

As for voting for Kerry in swing states, I am for it. In safe states, vote your conscience. In important states, vote Kerry. Let's face it, Kerry does not represent the views of many Americans. But we can still win the election with him - despite his uhhh unDem positions and many other failings.

9. Kerry gets a bad rap because he's not very *firey* but even when he
protested Vietnam he was calm and collected. :hi:

Great post !
