If Zell Miller
is to speak at the GOP Convention, shouldn't we at least have Ron Reagan Jr.?I know it isn't the same as Ron isn't a repug, and Zell isn't a Dem Icon . but still. If we don't hit back with Ron, who should we hit back with? Iacocca? Other names??

10. Sure.
If he runs for the Dem nomination for his seat, the Dem voters in his district can deny him the nomination.

Does Georgia have cross-over primaries, or is Zell really as "left" as it gets in GA?

2. Don't draw attention to him. Just lay low and hope
that they don't notice zell isn't a real republican yet. Maybe they'll hang on to him and stick him on the bus to Mississippi when the convention's over. :puke:

6. He said so.
Media whore Woodruff asked him if he would support Bush.He said definitely not. She asked who he was going to vote for.He said the most viable candidate to take GW Bush down. She said ,your voting for Se. Kerry. He said yes.Ron is an independent .He and sister Patty have always been liberal.Woodruff choked when she asked if he wasn't a repug and he said he would never be a member of a party that was homophobic and bigoted. She asked if he had ever been a repug and he said NO.For the record ,he isn't a Dem either. We aren't liberal enough. He loathes Bush.In a Salon interview he said he and Nancy both think the Bush's are "evil and corrupt. He also told Woodruff there was no comparison between his father and Bush as his father was a "decent" man.

7. I heard on a news program (can't remember which now) that Ron Prescott
Reagan may be a surprise speaker at the Democratic Convention. I'm trying to remember what I was watching. May have been CNN actually.

8. As far as I'm concerned he is a Republican...
take a look at Zell's voting record. Guys..we have to win 2 seats in the Senate. Zell is already a Republican who just likes to wear the Democratic tag.

9. Oh Lincoln Chafee
Make the move and endorse the Dem candidate and speak at the convention. He doesn't like Bush but he doesn't say anything.
