Can I vote in Florida?
I live in California, but my father passed away a couple years in his home in Florida. My brothers and I are the owners of his house now. So, I was wondering if I can register in Florida and vote in Florida. I would give up my vote in Calif to give it to Florida in a second because Kerry has much less to worry about in Cali obviously. I am guessing I cannot, but if anyone knows some technicalities, then let me know!

1. I think you have to claim primary residence in Florida, but
I'm not really sure. Obviously you can't be registered in both places, but I doubt that you can register in Florida unless it's your pimary residence. The other option is that you move right now to Florida, register to vote, then move after the election. That wouldn't be too much of an inconvenience, would it? :)

2. Florida Requirements
FLORIDA

You must:

* Be a citizen of the United States.
* Be a legal resident of both the Florida and of the county in which you seek to be
* registered.
* Be 18 years old (you may pre-register if you are 17).
*
* Not now be adjudicated mentally incapacitated with respect to voting in Florida or any other State.
* Not have been convicted of a felony without your civil rights having been restored pursuant to law.
* Not claim the right to vote in any other county or State.
Swear or affirm the following: " I will protect and defend the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Florida, that I am qualified to register as an elector under the Constitution and laws of the State of Florida, and that I am a citizen of the United States and a legal resident of Florida."

4. You have to look like you live there. Electric and water bills
in your name. You show up a lot. Primary residence is the description. I have been registered in two states. If you move to Florida, they don't take you off the rolls in California. So come on over and move in and register.

Drivers licenses work too. But since Florida doesn't tell California - or anyone - they took your drivers license, you can tell Calif you lost your and get it back. At one time I had 4 drivers licenses because I moved around so much.

5. If you were a Bushevik, you'd just vote in BOTH
Tens of Thousands of Freepers have pursued this "Vacation Home Voting" strategy, knowing they cannot get cuaght. There is no National Voter database and I have absolutely no doubt that this fraud is part of their larger Absentee Ballot Fraud issue.

I am not saying you should do this. I wouldn't want to become as low and odious as a Bushevik Sturmttruppen.

But that IS what a Freeper would do. We must know and understand that tens, perhaps hundreds of thousands will be doing it again.
