MY FIRST POLITICAL CONTRIBUTION EVER.

I've given to political causes for years (only what I could afford--which has usually been very modest).

But I'd never before given to a candidate--partly because I always had this idea that money was what was wrong with the process, partly because I always thought, "Other people who can afford it are contributing, so I can send my money to the ACLU/Sierra Club/DU/wherever instead."

This time--none of that. So, after waiting until the last day possible (payday, after all), I've done some new financial prioritization! Fifty bucks for John Kerry! Okay, it's not a lot, but every little bit helps. And it feels so good!

Whatever you can give, please do so! Your contribution might be the one to pay for that one last ad refuting Karl Rove's lies, it might pay for that one direct mailing that gets to a swing voter in a swing state.

2. Good for you, I am going to buy a bunch of campaign gear for my Kerry

table. I can't wait to sit out and fend off all the fundies. I am debating on whether or not I should have an "Ask me anything" sign I am so ready to argue circles around any naysayers.

Keep it up! Every bit does help and the more we work and the more we give the easier it will be for Kerry to win by a landslide.

Good for you for leading the way on this thread. Unfortunately, it takes real $$$ to make a viable campaign, so every little bit chipped in really does add up!

8. A kick and a reminder

Only a few hours left of the last full quarter!

No matter how little you contribute, it is a priceless feeling to know you've helped. Everytime you hear about Kerry's fundraising successes, everytime you see an ad for Kerry, everytime you see the Chimp's election numbers drop a point, you know you've helped it happen. There's just no price you can put on that!

So if you haven't... DO it!! :)
