Obama should stop campaigning and go on vacation.
Hillary Clinton can't catch him in pledged delegates, popular vote, or number of states won. It's over. It's been over for a long time now. The idea that Clinton's wins in Texas, Ohio, or Pennsylvania would reverse that are nothing but wishful thinking. It's been over since Wisconsin.

I think that Obama should stop campaigning and go on a well-deserved vacation with his family. He's going to get the nomination anyway, and there's no reason for him to continue humoring Hillary Clinton by acknowledging her campaign. He should go chill out in Hawaii with his family so that he'll be well-rested for his acceptance speech in Denver in August and his campaign against McCain. At the same time, this will allow Hillary to live out her dream of campaigning unopposed. It's win-win.

Go on vacation, Obama. Your job is done.

1. Au contrair..........
He should continue to campaign - and hard, against John McCain. If at all possible ignore Hillary and her childish tantrums and creative math - act like he already is the nominee and full steam ahead against McBush.

Ignore the senator from New York as she becomes more desparate and less relevant everyday and get on with fighting what was supposed to be the only true foe.

I had lo laugh earlier at an article saying Obama was calling for gasoline relief and the senator from New York (don't want to piss off some by referring to her in any sexist way) was calling for another debate.

Pathetic.

6. "I will NOT be ignored, Dan ... " (Glenn Close in "Fatal Attraction")
I've been saying for a while that she IS that character. Let Obama
just ignore her and see what happens ... she'll go bonkers.

15. For some reason I see her in the "basic instinct" role.

5. Yep, which is pretty much what he's doing. He's just sighned an agreement with the DNC toward
the transition from primary candidate to Democratic Party Nominee for the President of the US.

Obama is such a breath of fresh air. We are working hard here in MT to make sure he increases his lead over his opponent in our primary.

All his efforts now are a downpayment on November...He needs to keep moving--but he could mix a little fun with campaigning...

8. I just hate to see him wasting his time humoring a loser.
Yes, there are certainly more constructive uses of his time than going on vacation. But I honestly feel like a rafting trip or a mountain-biking excursion would be more constructive than humoring a loser.

The primary season needs to be struck like a stage set and removed from around her. If she wants to keep tap dancing to an empty auditorium, that's her business, but there's no reason for him to play along any more.

11. My point is that Barack has shown respect for all states, even small ones....
..if he made a point of showing his face on Guam..it makes a point that he values and seeks to represent all of America..

12. That's why he's won, in my opinion.
I'll never understand the HRC supporters who are dismissive of the small red states that he's won. It's how he built up the delegate lead that Hillary can't beat! It's amazing to me that they don't get this.

More to the point though, I'm glad that he's reversing the Dem "strategy" of ignoring all these states. We need to become a national party again, and campaigning in red states is crucial to making that happen. And if we can make McCain campaign in states that should be "safe" for him, that's even better. We may not win any of those states, but if we don't make it easy for McCain then he'll be a less effective candidate.

4. I'd spend the rest of my primary cash campaigning in the reddest states
to remind them that the Democratic Party will never *EVER* throw them to the wolves the way the * administration has.

7. No ..he has to finish running the obstacle course
The sad part is that he has to do it with a psycho-stalker hanging around his neck like an albatross..but he has to do it..

Once a bunch of the SD undeclared come onboard, making it REALLY impossible for her to snatch it away,he should just announce that she can HAVE FL & MI, and still cannot catch him..

THEN when she's finally pushed out, he should take his family to Europe..with his advisors, and do two things at once... take a victory lap visiting our European friends who will be thrilled to see that the US is baaaaack.. and to quietly prepare for the convention & campaign..away from the prying eyes/questions of the mediawhore cable news people..

July in Europe should be quite nice..

Hillary can go back an vacation in all her "home-states" and cry 'em a river.. most of them could use the water anyway

16. No - He needs to keep campaigning until all the primaries are finished
After that, he and his family can take a week off. Then it's back on the road to pound on McCain all summer.
