Is Hillary running a 2012 campaign right now?
In all honesty, Hillary has just about zero chance of becoming the Democratic nominee in 2008. So, what is keeping her in the race? She obviously wants to become President, but with the odds so seriously stacked against her, why waste a bunch of money and effort?

I'm beginning to think that she's trying to build a case for her 2012 campaign. Math is working against her in 2008, but by showing she can win the big states, and destroy Obama in the proces, maybe she will be set up for victory in 2012 after a lousy McCain presidency.

1. I don't think so.
I think that if Obama is the nominee, she will suddenly jump behind him 100%
and shoot for Senate Majority Leader. I also think that Obama will win, if
nominated. No one, including Hillary, wants to see McCain in the White House.

2. agree 50%
30% of her campaign is because she thinks she's the only one who can win in the Fall
20% of her campaign is because she doesn't want to let her supporters down.

She's becoming a pariah in the party by campaigning the way she has, that wont win her any party support to run again in 2012.

15. I agree.
She must know her negatives are increasing with each passing day. If she thinks this is her shot for 2012, it is definitely a flawed strategy. Even if she is relying on mccain getting in this cycle, she has alienated far too many in her base for a 2012 run.

4. Yes, but I can't blame her, I'm running a 2012 campaign myself, to remove her
from the Senate.

9. I wouldn't vote for her now, in 2012, even if she is the last DINO in the entire country.

14. she's not going to win the nomination in 2012 either.
People are sick of her. And there will be better, more qualified female candidates than her in 2012.
