So Obama can't win the general election huh?
Just wanted to share something with DU today. I go to a Pentecostal Assembly of God church here in NC (please no comments about why I attend such a church, I'm doing it to appease my parents who I'm stuck living with for at least a while longer as I continue my post-college graduation job hunt). The church is around 80% white and is in a very affluent area.

I actually noticed three cars in the parking lot today with Obama bumper stickers. Think about that for a second. This church is full of Left Behind reading, Bush supporting, speaking-in-tongue folks that belong to the same denomination as John Ashcroft. About as much of a Republican core as you can find. And yet...Obama bumper stickers.

I couldn't believe it. It's all I've been able to think about since this morning.

Senator Obama is going to win in November in a landslide. I can't wait.

1. I saw quite a few Obama bumperstickers on N.C. cars while
driving back from vacation in FL in March. It's a good thing :hi:.

2. He hasn't yet won , or qualified for , a GE...
Could it be that he will be wafted into the White House by a 'flock' of angels?

13. He has won the nomination. HRC just doesn't want to do the math.
She should hang it up. She's looking ridiculous.

6. Mine's divided generally a 60 / split for Obama
But my at least one of my relatives who voted for Hillary has buyers remorse, so I'm not sure where to count her.

My father-in-law promised me he's campaign for Obama as hard as he did for Hillary in PA, which I consider a minor victory. His Clinton vote seemed to have as much to do with "loyality" and a perception that "it was her turn" as anything else.

Whatever.

17. You did what I did in a prior post
you left out the closing ":", which would have given the emoticon you needed.

Cheers.

4. Agree. Obama will win the North Carolina primary and the general
election over McCain as well.

Big blue wave, increased working majorities in both chambers, lots of local upsets at the city/county/state level.

Hard work, volunteering, donations, grassroot hustle -- sure. All that and lots of it.

But Barack Obama will be the nominee in Denver and the next President of the United States.

and though her church in the past has used thinly veiled pushes for past Republicans (always their misguided views on about 2 specific points neverminding the war!), she could never reconcile their actions with their words. Namely, "what you do to the least of these, you do unto me.." something along those lines. She is very excited about voting for Senator Obama.

9. That site is a sack of shit
Utterly stupid to just randomly plug in the latest poll for each state like they do. Has no scientific validity whatsoever.

10. Catholic Church parking lot (Florida) near where I work
Apparently, there are still some snowbirds here. I saw two cars with NC plates and Obama stickers on them.

Hopefully, they are going home soon or have sent in absentee ballots.

It's always great to hear Obama is reaching people that so-called "conventional wisdom" said would never support him.

that brought us GWB.

Not exactly a great talking point, lol.

I disagree, by the way. Obama will not unify his own party, let alone the rest of the nation.
