Carole King concert in Nashville

I attended Carole King's concert last night in Nashville, TN at the famous Ryman Auditorium. Carole, as you know is a strong supporter of John Kerry and last night though she tried to keep it bi-partisan, she talked about the environment and H.R. 1105 (the Northern Rockies ecosystem protection act)and she named the members of congress from TN who SUPPORT the bill (The DEMOCRATS)..... The applause was very loud and LONG when she named them. THEN when she named the congress members who have NOT been on board to support it (THE REPUBLICANS)....we were all BOOING as she named them. She also talked about how important it is to vote and there was a ROCK THE VOTE table set up outside the auditorium for any unregistered voters to register. It was a great concert and after it was over I heard several people asking where they could get John Kerry signs and bumper stickers. I went with 3 other people and we all wore our KERRY/EDWARDS buttons and several people commented how they liked them while we were just walking around the streets of downtown Nashville. There is LOTS of support for John Kerry here in Nashville and that is a GOOD SIGN. People are MOTIVATED for CHANGE. :kick:

On one night of the convention she sang: "You've got a friend". I woke up the next morning hearing it and it was in my head all day.
