Instead Of Whining We Need To Do Something Constructive
About The Misleading CNN Polls...

They did the same thing in 2000.... They showed Bush with a commanding lead during much of Election 2000 despite different results from most other major polling organizations...

These polls can become self fulfilling prophecies feeding on themselves....

They need to open up their survey methods to public scrutiny...

3. Do y'all know...
...that no one watches these channels? Seriously. Check and see what their ratings are. Probably the only ones who watch CNN are like us. They already have their minds made up.

(And this is NOT directed at you, DSB. I'm just saying...)

Yes- but USA Today runs the tracking poll by Gallup daily...

For the love of God they had Bush leading Gore 53% -39% on October 27, 2000...

5. I know they did.
And it *still* took an illegal ruling from the USSC to bail Bush's ass out. And that was when people *liked* him. He's toast. (See my sigline)

9. October 27, 2000
Wasn't this after some pretty bad Gore debate performances. I can still hear him sighing now. Whoever advised Gore on debate performance should never do it again.

11. The Election Was Only Seven Days Later...
No matter how poorly Gore did or didn't perform in the debates how did he close a thirteen percentage point deficit in one week...

7. Only reason I watch CNN
today is that I couldn't get online for a while and went to CNN. Only watched because they said Kerry/Edwards would be on. I yelled at the TV so much my husband made me turn to Discovery until they came on! Of course, once Kerry/Edwards were finished, I turned back to Mythbusters. Hm.....wonder if Adam and Jamie could bust the myth that Bush is a competant president?

6. Doesn't it seem strange that all the internl in polls tell a diff. story?
I think I've been paying attention to most of the daily polls on the different networks (CNN MSNBC Lou Dobbs, stc)for quite a while now. Most, I'm really surprised at the negative votes against Bush. I know they always say, now remember, this is not a valid poll, but somebody is clicking on them!

Lou Dobbs is the most dramatic. Most of the time the percentages are 85-90% against Corps. and this admin ideas.

I'm willing to accept there should be a difference, but not that big!

8. I Won't Let This Thread Die....
They are shaping the race with their flawed polls.....

As I demosrated those c-l-o-w-n-s had Al Gore down by thirteen percentage points one week before the election when he went on to win by a half percentage....

Gore didn't gain fourteen percentage points in seven days...

Zogby had Gore up 45% - 43% the same day...

Also, I went to the CNN website and the poll is not there...

We need to start an e-mail campaign to stop them from trying to shape this election through false polls..............

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.................

13. A CNN sit-in
Jam the phone lines. This would probably be more productive than NYC protests.

16. The other stations should be encouraged to do daily tracking polls
and the major papers like the NYT, the Wall Street Journal, and the Washington Post....

Then I'd be confident of the results...

If they are all in cahoots or the people really want to re elect AWOL over a hero I'll just be despondent....
