CNN just now this is funny
be back at ten to discuss more about the terror alert and disect the kobe bryant case.

Ok I am laughing this is hysterical...

So be weby, webby afraid, but go on with life and inconsequential news

Move on, nothing to see here

to say that this is funny is to put it mildly... too sad this is real life and not a bad script for a c type movie

1. "We've raised the alert level to RED for the financial district ..."
"but encourage everyone to go to work tomorrow and go about their business as usual."

Orwell, Orwell, Orwell ... :sigh:

3. CNN and Fox News are both reporting it the same way
First they show the terror level graphic raising to orange. Then they do a voiceover that says something like, "The terror alert level has been raised to orange, but this only applies to the financial businesses in NY, NJ and DC."

They're hyping it as if the whole country has been raised to orange.

4. just a ploy
it's just a ploy for votes for Bush. The gullibles feel that they're unsafe and believe Bush's garbage about being a strong leader and just assume he's a great leader.

6. Howard Dean said it was a political ploy - Holy Joe said no.
Saw Dean on CNN News say it was most likely a combination of threats and politics. Joementum said the President would never do that.

Over the last couple of years only Howard Dean and Michael Moore have been proven right on all kinds of issues and controversies.

I think I am going with Howard over Joe again.

8. Interestingly, Al Sharpton said we don't know if it's a political ploy so
we shouldn't jump to conclusions.

Yup, that Rev. Al sure is a radical, rabble-rousing nutcase.
