USA Today/Gallup Poll Shows Kerry Leading Among National Adults 51%-46%
Edited on Mon Aug-02-04 01:24 PM by Zynx
Yet another strange result here among the national adults number. http://www.usatoday.com/news/politicselections/nation/polls/usatodaypolls.htm

That's up three points from the previous poll. They just have a weird definition of "likely voters".

1. The problem may be with reliance on past voting
As part of the calculation of what constitutes a likely voter. I personally think we are going to get an unusually high number of first time voters in this election.

2. Wow! This is weird.
When you do the breakdown, giving Bush the lead makes NO sense. They rate Bush lower in almost every catogory. They even trust him less. I still don't respect our electorate. Dumb as a box of rocks! If they reelect the chimp, I'm gone.

3. National Adults are Usually more Liberal that "Likely Voter." Who Votes
does, however, matter in an election!!!!!!

4. WHOOAAA! You know, that's the first thing I thought. I went to look, but
... I must have missed it!

I mean, really, just look at the difference and tell me there's not something fishy in Denmark:

Likely Voters 47 to 50 (Kerry/Edwards to Bush/Cheney)
Registered Voters 50 to 47
National Adults 51 to 46

Now, you can argue all you want with them as to how they determine who is a "likely" voter. Even the voters themselves aren't sure.

The only thing that IS sure is that the "likely voters" category is the only one determined subjectively.

I don't know, maybe it's just me. But aren't polls supposed to be objective?

7. I heard somewhere that they continued to poll, as initial results so out
of sync with the other polls.

11. Who do you trust more to handle responsibilities of commander-in-chief?
16. Who do you trust more to handle the responsibilities of commander-in-chief of the military: John Kerry, or George W. Bush? Kerry wins this one handily--51% to 46%!

Yet, for some inexplicable reason Bill Schnedier, CNN senior political analyst and fellow at AEI, prefers instead to focus on who is best on terrorism question? Guess who wins that one? Bush, of course, 54% to 42%--though Schneider fails to mention that Bush has lost 2 points of terrorism while Kerry has gained 4 points since their last survey.

12. Oh, geeze, poll weighting like the jobs weighting numbers on...
...employment growth since Feb of the year, out of the 1.3 million new jobs Bush claims that his tax cuts have created, 80% are made-up numbers!!!:wtf:

Here is an interesting poll bay bestandworst.com that uses respondent comments to gauge who voters think will win on Nov 2. Sorry, you'll have to calculate your own percentages, but I think the majority of respondents don't think Bush will win:
