Hate-mail for the first time in my career...

I mean, I'm cool with it, now.

But, I gotta say...

The negative mail all pretty much says the same thing.

"Shut up."

As a registered Independent, I didn't think I'd ever be in this position... especially with my work. But, now I'm in it up to my neck. It's a matter of conscience for me.

The response to the song I'm giving away, as a free download to help remove Bush from our White House, has caused quite a reaction... mostly GREAT! It's been downloaded thousands of times in the first week. We're hearing from 37 states, now, and 4 European countries.

Now, I've been getting a fair amount of HATE-MAIL for the very first time in my career. (Something I'm reeeeealllly not used to. I'm kind of a nice guy.) This weekend, it started getting to me.

It's all cool, though.

Had a lovely and wise woman... (young, but wise) ...email me the other day and say, "David... you are singing to the clear-thinkers, the open-minded and the wonderers. You are reinforcing the voice of reason. So, why focus on anything else."

She's right.
