"we know where Bush stand, but not Kerry's"
More or less heard on ABC News.

Of course we know where Bush Stand: yes, no, mom, Karl.

Simple vocabulary, simple ideas, everything is black and white..

How sad it is that being articulate and speaking at above second grade level is a disadvantage.

About the so-called lack of "bounce" - I really do not think that these elections can be compared to any previous one, thanks to the Internet.

We really do not need to wait for the convention, for the pundits or the reporters to tell us what has been happening. Or not. We have been surfing the net and know everything that we want to know, or not, about everyone.

3. "the man in the street", of course
They interviewed two or three and one or two said: with Dubya you know what you are getting...

(tried to find this on the ABC news website but did not, still it lists the results of the poll which are interesting

2. Who is the "we" that knows where Bush stands?
I don't know where Bush "stands" on the economy, the environment, WH leaks on CIA naming. Or on the "war on terror". He was against "Homeland security". He was against the 911 commission. When the report came out he went on vacation. If you want to know where Bush stands what you have to do is find out where Kerry stands, and Bush will be in the same place a week later.

5. I interviewed my 18 year old
He is not political. He does not watch the news. He does not read newspapers. (He does CARE though) The only information he gets is form the horse's mouth because he does end up coming into the living room to watch Kerry speak. So I asked him, what are John Kerry's policies. And he laid them out in about a minute. Obviously, any reporter on the campaign trail knows Kerry's policies as well as my 18 year old kid. So, why are the people who listen to the "news" so uninformed???

6. I'll say one thing about these people, they're agile.
They can walk around all day with their heads so far up their asses they can look out from inside their navels.

How can you not hear what Kerry's positions are on issues. You don't have to agree with them, but to say you don't know what they are is the ultimate form of ignorance.
