How many Anti-Kerry e-mails have you gotten?

These worry me because I know Undecideds and Soft Republicans who discuss them as factual sources. Grrrr. The Bush team could obviously be using these eRumors as a sleazy, under-the-table way of spreading lies about Kerry, Edwards, Theresa, etc. while staying clean in the mainstream media. These e-mails are especially dangerous, since repeated forwarding eliminates those who are accountable for their composition and no one has to defend the false statements.

So far I've received about 5, there topic are as follows:

1)Theresa Heinz Kerry funds terrorist groups through endowments to leftist causes through the Tides Foundation.

2)John Kerry's wife's company, Heinz, is exporting jobs

3)Kerry was only a C student at Yale.


And this eRumor I assume is to cast negative suspicions on Kerry because he and Fonda both protested against the war.

3)Jane Fonda is responsible for the execution of American POW's in
Vietnam


We need to have a strategy for combating these eRumors. My approach is to read and become familiar with the accusations, then research the truth myself.
Another helpful source for combating eRumors is www.TruthOrFiction.com. They seem pretty professional and trustworthy.

Lately, the ones I have gotten are some cranky freeper hate mail using words like 'yellow', 'commie', 'faggot', 'traitor', and 'motherfucker'.

Yes, I was on AZ Joe's mailing list. That is, until I contacted his email host and got his account locked.

7. Looks like the office winger will be sending one every day now.

Since the convention I get one every day from the office winger to his 'friends' list. I 'reply all' to everyone he sends now. Try to keep it short and pithy and dismissive of his little mind as well. I have gotten the 'Theresa' one you mention from him and another trying to make it sound as if Kerry was in the backseat with Mary Jo Kopechne at Chappaquidick.

I really think this guy is losing it.

But anyway I don't let anything go unanswered and from reading DU I have plenty of ammo I can fire back at him. I have plans for using this to reply to something he will send. Next thing that is slandering Kerry, I will be sending this first post from this thread on Du:

9. I administer my companie's Spam server

And I see most of them getting diverted to the Spam folder on the server. Unless asked, I refuse to forward them. And so far no one has missed them.

It got so bad I would delete everything they sent me, without even bothering to read them. THEN I decided to fight back and started researching everything they sent me. And when I found what I was looking for, off it went, proving to them that they are wrong and the Dems are right. :) Oh, how happy it makes me to be a Democrat!

I had to ask for help here last week when I needed ammo to send back in reply to one stinking email that was sent to me. Boy, the DU'ers really know their stuff. I took everything that was provided to me, ended up sending FIVE emails (too much to fit in one..lol) and since then, gee, it's been SO quiet in my mailbox. Well, I get tons of stuff from Kerry.com, Moveon.org, democraticparty.org, etc., but those are the GOOD ones! :)
