Kerry/Edwards bus tour - schedule needed
Is the "Believe in America" your coming anywhere near Texas? I sure hope so - Howard Dean came to visit Dallas back in July 2003 and got a very enthusiastic reception. (Mine was the last hand he shook before he headed off.)

1. Don't know but I'd like to see them
Kerry was in Houston earlier this year and Edwards was at the state convention, so I don't know if they will come back to Texas or not.

2. No way they'll come to Texas
From now on it's all business. Can't afford to waste time on the most Red state in the union. They might get to Arkansas at some point in the campaign and New Mexico.

3. Franken
I like what Franken said today when he was impersonating Bush:

"I like being in Texas because I can be as dumb as I want."

6. Actually, Texas isn't so red...
Bush took Texas with only 65% compared to Gore's 35%. In Dallas County alone, Bush won 52-48. And we have a lot of military families here whose loved ones have been shipped off to Iraq.

I think Texas is shaping up as a battleground state. Pundits be damned, we've seen unprecedented mobilization of Democrats across the state for this election. Our local senatorial convention was supposedly the most crowded it's been since the mid-70s. Kerry would be well-advised to reconsider swinging through the Lone Star State.

5. Kerry came to Houston for Earth Day
His speech is available in the Kerry/Edwards Plan for America. (which everyone should read...or at least skim)

John Edwards was here (Houston) a short while back, most likely @ a fundraising event (O'Quinn).

I would highly doubt that Kerry would come back to TX, seeing as there are less than 100 days until the election, and no Senate seats for the campaign to support.
