In These Times Media proves Bush a liar re his 8/2 "I didn't know WMD weak

REPORT PROVES BUSH KNEW HE WAS LYING ABOUT IRAQ

Earlier this week, President Bush claimed "we all thought we would find
stockpiles of weapons"<1> in Iraq, and claimed that he had no inkling that
his pre-war claims about the Iraqi threat were weak. But as a major new
story released today shows, the President and other top administration
officials were repeatedly warned before the invasion that its case for war
was weak.

The cover story for this month's In These Times analyzes declassified
government documents and intelligence reports given to the White House
before the war. These documents either warned the administration about its
WMD and Iraq-al Qaeda claims, or totally debunked them. In some cases,
intelligence experts explicitly warned top officials not to make the claims
they were making, and yet they were ignored. The story wholly refutes
assertions by the White House and Republicans that it was the intelligence
community to blame. In fact, as the data shows, the White House deliberately
ignored intelligence to mislead America.

1. This kind of information wasn't a explored by the 9/11 commission
since their mission was to imply that intelligence was to blame.

3. That's not an inkling, that's a fully-grown ink
Big, fat permanent Magic Marker kind of ink.

They've been very careful not to lie as they constantly misrepresent, insinuate and mislead, but this is a serious de facto lie. Okay, they learned from British Intelligence that Hussein was seeking Uranium in Africa; even though they knew what the basis was for the claim and knew that they had debunked it themselves, they DID hear from British Intelligence...

They said Hussein had long-range missiles, even though the administration didn't say that 112 miles was the farthest any could have gone. They said Hussein supported terrorists, even though the never said that they were terrorists against Israel, and that he'd never supported any terrorists groups that had gone after the U.S. Fine. Those were not "lies", but this latest one IS. They were not misled by U.S. Intelligence, they did everything they could to arm-twist the spooks to make it sound as nasty as possible, and ignored them when cooperation wasn't forthcoming.

Here's the kicker: Bob Woodward famously reported that Junior said the Intel was thin, and Tenet said that it was a "slam-dunk". That's an inkling. Junior himself, by his own admission, endorses Woodward's representation of this incident, so even if he was later swayed, he DEFINITELY HAD AN INKLING.

A weakling with an inkling; it's sickening.

4. Thank you Papau
For providing still more evidence to us that the war in Iraq was manufactured by the present criminal corporate stooge administration for purposes of political gain and corporate profit.
