The question: How might a terrorist attack on U.S. interests influence your vote in November?

Answers:
A terrorist attack on US interests will not influence my vote in November. Bush has been hopeless as President. I will vote for Senator Kerry to restore international cooperation to the United States.

August 2, 2004 at 10:44:52 CDT

No, I intend to vote for a change in the White House. Nothing any terrorist could do would make me change my mind.

August 2, 2004 at 10:28:57 CDT

It won't influence my vote much since there are too many other factors along with it. GWB is more a threat to this country than any terrorist ever thought of being.

No, terrorists are non-partisan.

My vote goes to John Kerry, regardless of other events. I will do my part in restoring the fiancial health and international interests of our country.

Absolutely no influence whatsoever. I've already made up my mind about who I will vote for.

1. Good News!
I've been noticing more Democrats around here lately. An old friend, who was very pro-war, told me yesterday that she wasn't going to vote for Bush because he misled her into believing it was a just war. I remember a year or so ago arguing with her in my kitchen about his reasons for going. She refused to listen then, I haven't brought it up since. Apparently, her eyes have been opened.

2. Texas is a 50% minority state , its downright sad how bad we do there.

The question isnt whether there are those who dont like Bush there , the question is why we cant easily get the votes to win each and every single election there.

Accoriding to census 2000 (which undercounted minoritys by at least -2%), 48% of Texans were minoritys and we are already halfway into the next decade. Whites are below 50%.

I think we Democrats should make a deal with Nader that if we get him the signatures to be on the ballot in Texas in 2008 and if he spends all his time campaigning there then we will watch closly and learn when he gets record votes there. If we had nominated Nader for our Democratic nomination then frankly Texas would be too close to call.

I think the main story is how few Democratic votes we end up with in Texas when it need not be that way. I always get shocked when people talk about how genuine progressives like Wellstone , Feingold , and DeFazio cant win in most places when if you do the math , between their 3 state/districts Bush actualy took a higher percentage of the vote than Gore.
