This is a great organization and they have every progressive organization possible linked to their web site. They also have a link to sign up to help with an event or organize your own event. They give you instructions about how to organize, voter registrations, canvassing etc...

If everyone who posted here also joined ACT and did one event we would crush bush.

4. I donated after watching the Will Ferrell piece on Bush

Now they are putting together this Vote for Change tour. I'm starting to like them a lot. I just signed up. Not sure I will have time to volunteer, but I will try. If not, at least I will donate more.

Anyone see Ted Koppel's interview of Bruce Springsteen on Nightline tonight? This is the first time Bruce has spoken out/been interviewed about a partisan issue during his career - he's been worried for four years now what kind of America his kids will grow up in, thanks to W. He's typically kept his social commentary within the lyrics of his songs, which are "progressive" but non-partisan.

Dozens of musicians like Bruce will be concert-touring 40 cities in 10 key states during the month of October. Thanks to MoveOn.Org and ACT. They expect to raise tens of millions of dollars to help the Kerry-Edwards campaign get people out knocking on doors, etc. to get the vote out to defeat Bush Nov. 2.

Even the Dixie Chicks have joined this great group of musicians.

This could push Kerry-Edwards over the top.

They had a Haliburton lemonade stand at the park in Davenport near Shrub's rally. $45 a glass or $100 for 2 glasses. Trying to show how we are getting gouged by Cheney's boys. Hope they raised a ton of money.
