Nasty and Misleading/Patently False Ad this morning...
It was sponsored by the "Club for Growth".

Living in the swing state of Iowa, I suppose I should expect to see this often.

It shows a cardboard cutout of Kerry on a weather vane and it goes on about the "flip-flopping" and mentions again the 300-whatever times raising taxes.

Ugh. These people are disgusting.

1. Combat it with Bush's record
Check this link:

Even if we keep responding under the radar, the truth needs to get out.

4. I will acknowledge that Kerry
sometimes changes his mind on the issues if you will acknowledge that bush has done almost nothing he promised to do in his campaign, constantly changes his mind on the issues when he realizes that no one is on his side, and habitually tells half-truths(to be nice about it) to get his way.

9. See Bill Maher on flip-flopping.
Last Friday's show.

"If you back off of a position that is wrong, are you flip-flopping, or did you just learn something?"

If you haven't seen it, find someone who has HBO and see it before it goes away tomorrow evening.

13. He has been right on the money
through this whole terrorism ordeal. He has certainly been politically incorrect. How could he and Dennis Miller, who I also greatly admired, have drawn such different conclusions on this issue? I used to agree with alot of what Dennis Miller said but if you watch Dennis now, he never makes any sense at all!

3. I saw that too...in Michigan
the flip flopping stuff..is rediculous..gosh you can go on and on about Bush's...but we are going to hear it the next 89 days...I just stuck my fingers in my ears and said "lalalalalala" like a child...its just silliness..and doesn't really sway the Kerry supporters to follow the bushwacker..
my opinion is that there will be a shocking story on November 3rd..that Kerry wins by a landslide..because all these polls don't take into account that many people have JUST registered to vote in this election and they aren't counting those people in these polls yet...

5. I would rather have a candidate whose positions can evolve
than one who simply marches in lock-step with the neo-con religious groups.

Plus, even if his position has changed on some issues, many of the things said in the ad are just plain outright falsehoods.

Added to that is that Bush lies constantly and the media never questions him at all.

how the lying comment gets squashed...its crazy...but like I said..we will see it and we just have to convince whoever might believe this bullshit that its another lie...another untruth....another case of bush having "bad information"

6. As Bill Maher said...
...Kerry's labelled a 'flip-flopper' because somewhere between the ages of 18 and 60, he changed his mind.

7. Is our message getting out there, too?
I live in a safe Blue state, so I don't know much about what is airing in the battleground states -- Are MoveOn ads running? Any ads from other 527s?

8. I've not seen very many pro-Kerry ads at all
But I'm hoping that they will come closer to the election, so they will be fresh in people's minds.

Most ads are the vicious ads by W and his surrogates, bashing Kerry.

11. A good essay
The site http://www.johnkerryisadouchebagbutimvotingforhimanyway.com/ has a great article on how most of Kerry's so-called flip-flops are either spin or not worth discussing.

Admittedly, the name of the website makes you expect something different. But it's not bad. And it's probably a good one to email to people who are still waffling on their vote simply BECAUSE it's not presented as a straight pro-Kerry site.

12. red/blue state
Colorado is supposedly red/blue and we see quite a few Kerry and a similar number of Bush ads. Have not seen any MoveOn or other 527s from either side and my understanding is we won't have to put up w/ that nasty Swift Boat lie either.
