Here this nation is at war, and you attack a decorated American combat veteran.
My, my, my how the Republican party has fallen.
There was a time, when America was under strong leadership, that such an attack on a decorated combat hero would be considered traitorous ... treasonous ... wrong.
Perhaps this is why, so many Americans have turned away from the 90% support they once gave George W. Bush and have looked for new, tough, combat-tested leadership.
While America's enemies are Osama Bin Laden and Al Queda, there are those who support taking valuable resources away from the defeat of this insidious enemy to attack our own heroes, to cut taxes so our military is weak, to assure our veterans go uncared for, to create unwanted wars to distract us from the real job at hand.
It's a shame, that I had to hear a young Democrat who served bravely and honorably in Iraq tell me upon his return, "If I knew I would be treated so badly upon my return, I would not have served. Why must my service be dishonored because of my political beliefs?"
It's a good question, as more and more people who desire to serve their county come to understand that there are people like you who seek to dishoner and discredit those who love our country so much they are willing to sacrifice their lives, when you cannot even sacrifice as much as a tax cut.
You should be ashamed of attacking heroes. And be glad of what they have done in spite of your hateful lack of grattitude.
