When is Bush going to denounce the liar-for-hire ad?
the monkey man is running around this country giving speeches to the faithful. we have two big stories going on right now. the swift boat liars ad and the terrible employment numbers.
bush refuses to denounce the ad by flip-floping into a, "get moveon off my back and i will" spin. while telling his cheering dead-enders the economy is booming.
this should be on every news channel. the president is a LIAR two more times. but NOOOO. about two very big things. but the media saz, we're not going to talk about it.
how do we build on these two stories to make them explode on monday morning? is this the time to stick it too the media? this is blatant covering of the chimps ass.
i guess i should mention sadr and his militia waging all out war on the colition but the chimp hasn't lied about that yet.
what do you think?

2. Re: "When is Bush going to denounce the liar-for-hire ad?"
He won't. He's just going to use the opportunity to whine about the Democratic groups and their commercials about his record.

4. But shouldn't we demand that the press corp traveling with him
at least ask him some questions about it. like, "Mr President, John McCain has asked you to denounce the swift boat vets ad. McCain said it's dishonest and dishonerable. what do you say?" AND "Mr President, what do you say about the new employment numbers?"
That's pretty EASY wouldn't you say? what in the Hell is the media's problem? They're traveling with him aren't they. Do they have access or not?

Veteran retracts criticism of Kerry
By Michael Kranish, Globe Staff | August 6, 2004

WASHINGTON -- A week after Senator John F. Kerry heralded his wartime experience by surrounding himself at the Democratic convention with his Vietnam ''Band of Brothers," a separate group of veterans has launched a television ad campaign and a book that questions the basis for some of Kerry's combat medals.

But yesterday, a key figure in the anti-Kerry campaign, Kerry's former commanding officer, backed off one of the key contentions. Lieutenant Commander George Elliott said in an interview that he had made a ''terrible mistake" in signing an affidavit that suggests Kerry did not deserve the Silver Star -- one of the main allegations in the book. The affidavit was given to The Boston Globe by the anti-Kerry group to justify assertions in their ad and book.<snip>

Yesterday, reached at his home, Elliott said he regretted signing the affidavit and said he still thinks Kerry deserved the Silver Star.

Can't the whores ask Bush about this?

6. Kerry's statement on the jobs numbers

Kerry Statement on Latest Jobs Numbers

http://www.johnkerry.com/pressroom/releases/pr_2004_080...

Kansas City, MO - Senator John Kerry released the following statement today on the July unemployment numbers:

“The President keeps saying we’ve turned the corner. But unfortunately, today’s job numbers further demonstrate that our economy may be taking a U-turn instead. Saying we’ve turned the corner doesn’t make it so. America will not turn the corner to better days until we have a new president who can see our problems and take action to fix them. America can go in a new direction. We can make it better. The American people need jobs and a strong economy, affordable health care and energy independence. And we have a plan to get it done.”

George Bush's Record on Jobs & The Economy
read the fact sheet:

And the DOW is tanking again today. Can't the good for nothing press ask about that?

7. Okay he did answer one of the questions
BUSH SAZ "US ECONOMY WAS STRONG AND IT'S GETTING STRONGER. LIAR
AFP Photo

WASHINGTON (AFP) - Facing a tough reelection battle, President George W. Bush (news - web sites) shrugged off official figures showing stunningly anemic job creation in July and insisted the US economy was "strong and it's getting stronger."

Government figures showed US employers hired a meagre 32,000 extra workers in July, shocking analysts who had generally predicted a gain of 243,000 and shattering expectations of a rebound from sluggish job growth in June.

In a speech to some 7,000 minority journalists, Bush made no reference to the news and said instead that he had been right to push trillion-dollar tax cuts through the US Congress.

"It was to stimulate the economy. It was to help people have more money in their pocket, so they would demand additional goods or services," he told the UNITY: Journalists of Color convention.
