Alan Keyes is gonna get WHIPPED!
And that's not racist, because Barack Obama is a black guy!

6. Are you kidding?!?
I guarantee that race was the NUMBER ONE priority when the GOP was picking someone to run against Obama. Sure, they talked about Ditka and Ted Nugent, but those weren't serious. Alan Keyes was their absolute first choice, and only because he's black.

This is about nothing but race.

8. Sure, for them it was - that's obvious.
I'm saying that the outcome will have nothing to do with race. Obama is a thousand times a better candidate than Keyes, race aside. Keyes is a joke of a candidate.

7. Personally, I Can't Believe He's Going to Run
An unknown candidate might get national exposure and possibly beat expectations. Keyes is too well known for it to help him much.

He must have been promised something really good in exchange.

10. But that's not the point
Rethugs know it is a lost cause. This way, they can show their "diversity" and use the campaign to probe for possible Barrack weaknesses in the debates. Keyes gets to rant and make some money and they can do some homework for down the road when Obama seeks national office.

12. Yeah and this race has already gotten national media attention
Seeing black candidates make suburban voters feel better about voting for Republicans. They don't want to vote for a purely racist party, but if they see a black Republican now and then, they feel better.

11. Keyes has an ago
the size of Jupiter. There was never much doubt for me that he would run. He loves the spotlight. He is so self righteous that there was no way he wouldn't use this opportunity to put himself back in the National spotlight. He probably believes he can win, too.
