1. hmmmm, i was watching * today at the Unity rally and he sure

had a laundry list of great things he's "done" for the country.

It's no wonder people who just get sound bites don't know any better.

I will need to research some of *'s points to wit:

Highest minority home ownership ever (I thought that the foreclosures had reached a new high under *)

49% more funding for schools since 2001

lowest "learning gap" between minority and white kids ever


any help on checking this out would be appreciated

Just watching that speech gives me the creeps, he's such a horrible speaker and talks to the crowd like they are stupid.

3. What I want someone to ask Thurlow is...

YOU got your Bronze Star in the same incident, why exactly did YOU deserve one for "business as usual" as you describe it?

And the absolute GALL of the man, to say to Rassman's face that he is lying about whether or not his life was in danger.

The generosity of Kerry's fully acknowledging Thurlow's actions in his memory of the incident, compared with Thurlow's venal, dishonorable and disgusting defamation of a fellow veteran (Rassman) TO HIS FACE, tells me all I need to know about this Thurlow sleazeball.

Boy do I wish I had his e-mail. My husband was in Vietnam in 68, if anybody DARED to claim their "recollection" of his service was that he'd lied about enemy fire to get a medal, I would personally rip their tongue out. And that's what Thurlow deserves.
