Does Keyes Have Any Chance
in hell of beating Obama? I say this as someone who lives in California. First we said there was no way the recall would get on the ballot, then we sail there was no way the people of California would elect a muscle-headed action movie star to run the 5th largest economy in the world. We were wrong.

For some reason. Post I have made about the Keyes thing seem to have gone into a "black-hole", so I am asking?

Don't get too overconfident. Don't under-estimate the effect of money and our corporate media. And, Do they have Diebold voting machines in IL?

Let's hope that the IL Dems continue to work hard for Obama so that we don't have a repeat of the CA recall, or the MN Senate race.

3. Not a chance.
The only way Allan Keyes could be elected is if only African-American Republicans show up to vote. (All 800 of them.)

Of course, all Democrats are going to vote for Obama, and we control this state, and most white Illinois Republicans are either overt or closet racists, and would NEVER vote for a person of color, no matter what his credentials.

Picking Keyes was a bad choice, but it was almost the only choice they had.

7. Keyes couldn't even win an election in his OWN state.

And in the (IIRC) only election he's participated in in Illinois, the 2000 Republican primary, he received 8.96% of the vote... and that was running against other Republicans.
