"Today's [jobs] report shows our economy is continuing to move forward."
Bush actually said that today.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A45594-2004Aug6.html

Words fail me. A disappointing report "shows our economy is continuing to move forward." He couldn't just say nothing. He couldn't just say it's probably a glitch. Bush actually had to say that the report shows the exact opposite of what it actually shows.

How does he do it?

3. Didn't he also say we have "turned a corner"?

Economically, that is.

Yeah, we have turned a freaking corner. Right into a dead-end street.

I called a friend of mine today who is a teacher/librarian. She was hired two weeks ago, and let go of yesterday (along with 7 other teachers) because the money is GONE...

Thanks Bush.

They are really worried about money.

6. *snicker*
Remember when he was on camera, saying there were no US forces anywhere near Baghdad -- even as the the tank-blasts were rattling the map in the easel next to him?

Priceless! Ya can't write stuff like that!

Oh... uh, unless you're employed by the White House.

THAT'S odd. I would have sworn that it's a "Do Not Ride with a Drunken Democratic Senator" sign. Don't they post these all over Massachusetts?
