Swift Boat Lies Are Just A Planned Distraction From The Economy
bushco knows that the election hangs on the economy. bushco is responsible for issuing the crappy numbers on jobs. Don't cha think they knew the numbers were going to be shit at least a week ago? Of course they did.

The SBV's are out there now to throw the media off the economy scent. If the economy becomes the story, bush is toast in a huge way.

It's all a distraction...and it won't be the last distraction. When do you think they'll haul out the gay marriage thing again?

1. The problem for Bush is, people don't need the media to remind them
if they are out of a job, have no health insurance, living paycheck to paycheck -- these are not the kind of problems you forget about because of a political attack ad.

2. There are other things...
They're still beating the "Kerry voted to cancel the weapons systems Dick Cheney asked him to" dead horse pretty hard, although they did pump the ol' gray mare up with compressed nitrogen and "these systems are critical in the fight against terrorism" to make her look alive.

And the "Kerry is the most liberal senator" dead horse is still ripe for whuppin', although that particular dead horse seems to have many names: Teddy Kennedy, Patrick Leahy and whoever else they don't like at the moment. I'm waiting for them to name Zell Miller the most liberal senator, which they will do if he pisses them off.

They've also got the "Kerry hates the flag" dead horse, the "Kerry hates freedom" dead horse, the "Kerry hates our military" dead horse, and probably seven or eight others.

Oh yeah: watch for the "The New Soldier" dead horse. John Kerry, when he was with Vietnam Veterans Against the War, co-authored the book "The New Soldier." Its cover has four or five hippies raising a flag.

This is supposed to be a disrespectful version of the Iwo Jima photo...and this

is not.

3. An upside down flag has another meaning
It also can signal distress right?

6. Exactly. That's what it means on that book, too
Unfortunately, the freepers are too fucking dumb to realize what Vietnam really was: an unwinnable corporate war we should have never been in. Just like the current unwinnable corporate war, but with more humidity and less sand.

4. Karl Rove book of tactics
Bombard the opposition with as many accusations as possible in the last months before the election.

That way the candidate spends all his time and money defending himself, pre-empting an offensive campaign.

Watch and see

7. The Karl Rove book of tactics can easily backfire on them
That's because he's up against two very good lawyers; lawyers are trained to pick out bullshit and throw it back in the bullshitter's face.
