O'Neill praises Kerry in Boston, 1996
http://www.boston.com/news/necn/

About halfway down the page you'll find a link to a news segment "Kerry's Vietnam Record Attacked." In it you'll see a clip of O'Neill standing alongside Kerry, praising his actions in Vietnam.

Flip-flop?

7. Fess up
This election is decidedly different than any other in our history for a couple of reasons.

Because of the speed that information is proliferated via internet, bad news will 'take root' more quickly, before it can be dispelled. In years past, the sting could be taken out of bad news before it reached enough people to make it an 'issue' by throwing a little spin on it through conventional media.

People now have a convenient fact checking tool at their disposal allowing them to learn darn near anything about anyone at will. Of course, all the information out there isn't necessarily true, but at least there isn't much that can be hidden. The ability to have historic evidence compiled and available to examine in it's entirety, rather than a 'one bite at a time' spoon feeding of information, allows a much clearer picture of say, a President's accomplishments.

Of course we've had internet availability in previous election years, but there are exponentially more users now and more inventive uses than ever before.

This administration obviously has not recognized that their public lies and misdeeds cannot be glossed over by silencing the news media or issuing counter-spin. There is a tidal wave of failure out there just waiting to wash these corrupt bastards out of Washington, and from all indications, people are gobbling it up.

2. An idea for a commercial
Run the 1996 footage: "This is your mind".

Run the 2004 Swiftvets footage: "This is your mind on Bush".

(or "on hate", "on cash", etc.)

3. That's Elliot, not O'Neill, but it still discredits the ad.
O'Neill has never given up being rabid against Kerry since 1971.

4. That wasn't O'Neill, it was Elliot.

Elliot's the nut-case who recanted his affidavit for the book, then yesterday re-recanted.

5. It is not O'neil
I was skeptical because O'Neil has been after Kerry since the 70s - It is the guy who retracted his statement and said he made a terrible mistake George Elliott who is praising Kerry in the video in '96

8. Just sampling corp news caught CNN on the smear group
the video from 96 included..Dr Elliott praising courage of John Kerry.. then his 180. Those mates with actual witnessing experience and
a narrative of factual reporting. The only conclusion being this discrediting group's testimony/accounts are not credible. Surprised.
