13. I got right in also...
but, it is only avalailable to those who register to get online for that site. I would imagine that 45% to 50% of the American voting population is not very likely to do this; at minimum.

Personally, I thought it was a great rebuttal.:bounce:

I wish it had allowed me to recieve a printable copy. This whole issue totally infuriates me. I would love to have something to shove in the faces of those who parrot the "flip-floppers" who have made their $100,000 to discredit Kerry's military record.

22. My apologies....
when I did a search for "kerrey.com", I was given an opening page much different than that of "johnkerrey.com". The point is still accurate that a small percentage of the American electorate will be taking the time or would wish to do so in searching for a more truthful rebuttal to those who have been orchestrated and paid in their slanderous and libelous statements against Kerry's military service.

23. I hate to waste space here for certain internet incompetancies, but,
I guess a "printable version" would be "without" all of the "extra" sidelines, etc. Perhaps I should get a tutorial somewhere which would assist me in printing the document as a flier, and, not as a "web page".

Thanx anyway!

;-)

24. Easy to do- open up a blank Word document and then
copy the segment of the Fact Sheet starting with the word "Fact Check" all the way down. Then paste it into Word. If there are some parts you want to alter (such as the related link on the right), just select it and do a *cut*.

8. Read the whole thing
I have two questions:

1. How on earth can they get all that into a 30-second ad?
2. Can we get the FCC ban lifted on the word "bullshit" for about a week?

11. I got it now -- here's one salient example.
"I know John Kerry is lying about his first purple heart, because I treated him for that injury." Louis Letson, Now Part of the Republican Veterans Efforts to Smear Kerry, WAS NOT the Doctor That Signed Kerry's Sick Call Sheet and Was NOT a Kerry Crewmate

Letson Offers NO PROOF He Treated Kerry.
Despite Letson's claims to have treated Kerry, he is not listed on any document as having treated Kerry after the 12/2/68 firefight. Offering only an account of dates and places-which is readily available in Kerry's biography and media accounts-Lester has produced nothing to verify his treatment of Kerry.

Another Doctor Signed Kerry's Sick Call Sheet.
Regarding Dr. Letson's recollection of Mr. Kerry's wound, Michael Meehan, a campaign spokesman, noted that a different person, J. C. Carreon, had signed the "sick call sheet" summarizing treatment of the injury, and asked, "Who is this guy? How do we know that he was the doctor who treated him?" The aides produced several veterans to attest to Mr. Kerry's bona fides.

Letson Didn't Record His Memories of Vietnam Until Kerry's Emergence in 2003.
"Letson says that last year, as the Democratic campaign began to heat up, he told friends that he remembered treating one of the candidates many years ago. In response to their questions, Letson says, he wrote down his recollections of the time."

12. Sure
McCain Calls on Bush to Condemn It - No Comment From Bush

Asked if the White House knew about the ad or helped find financing for it, McCain said, 'I hope not, but I don't know. But I think the Bush campaign should specifically condemn the ad." Later, McCain said the Bush campaign has denied any involvement and added, 'I can't believe the president would pull such a cheap stunt'. The White House did not immediately address McCain's call that they repudiate the spot."

Swift Vets Funded By Longtime Texas Bush Contributors

Fox News: "Many Of Them Are Republicans Who Have Contributed To And Backed Various Bush Campaigns And Causes Over The Decades" "Kerry's military service was an asset during the primaries; critics hoped to transform it into a liability now. The GOP says it's not involved with the veterans criticizing Kerry, but many of them are Republicans who have contributed to and backed various Bush campaigns and causes over the decades."

Dallas Morning News: "Veterans' Group Critical of Kerry Backed by Bush Supporter." Bob Perry, a major supporter of President Bush and the Republican Party, is the biggest financial backer of a veterans group seeking to discredit Democrat John Kerry's military service, according to federal records. Perry, a Houston homebuilder, gave $100,000 to Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, a group that has been critical of Kerry's anti-war activities after he returned from Vietnam. That accounted for two-thirds of the organization's receipts to date.

14. How much damage has this caused?
I know the Rupubs pulled the ads off the air, but how many people saw these ads? How many saw them being shown on the news?

Do you think that Fox News has bothered to print a story on the truth of the ads? CNN barely mentioned it besides the guy that retracted his story, then retracted his retraction.

Are there no more libel laws in America?

27. I hope Bush keeps bashing Kerry about the size of his wounds
This is a really bad stragegy for Bush. Why in the world would he want to draw attention to ANYONE's military record? I guess Bush earned a purple heart for falling off a bar stool and knocking out a tooth.
