So is the idiot basically going to keep everyone scared these next months?
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=615&e=1&u=/nm/20040807/pl_nm/campaign_bush_dc

"We're still not safe," said Bush, who was spending the weekend at his family's oceanfront compound in Maine to attend the wedding of his nephew, George P. Bush, the son of Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.

"We'll keep our focus, we'll keep our resolve, and we will do our duty to best secure our country," he said.

I mean seriously, I'm looking forward to the day when I don't have to have scare alerts on the news everynight from my leaders in DC.

1. I look forward to the day where I can admire my president
not laugh at him.

2. How long can the fear keep going?
eventually not much will be believed nor will it make sense.

3. Agree.
I spent yesterday helping my son enroll at UMKC. No news all day, no DU and I cannot say how normal I felt. It was stressful but normal. It was, in fact, wonderful. Reminds me of the old days. If I was actually afraid it would have seemed like heaven. I am so sick of this shit too.

4. "we are not safe" ??? WTF? I could have sworn he used the phrase
"America is SAFER" at least 4 times in a speech July 22.

5. What else does he have?
The economy is tanking, Iraq is in chaos, he has no record to run on and he has no plans for the future that he wants people to know about. He is beginning to self-destruct. "Terror" is a word he can pronounce (sort of).

6. Hell no, we're not safe. A person could get hit but a bus, get shot in a
drive-by, get crushed by falling rocks, be smooshed like a bug in an earthquake when a building falls on 'em, contract a fatal disease where a microbe that needs to be magnified fifty-thousand times in order to see it takes you out, be hit by lightening, whatever. At no time, during no day, are we truly safe.

If a person is afraid of everything that might end their life, they'll have no life at all.

My only real contribution to this train of thought is that the bush* cabal can be given a great big thank you because they have increased the dangers of being killed by terrorists, however unlikely, for everyone on this planet. And no country is immune now. So lets just all get together and sign a great big thank you card to pResident Dead-From-The-Neck-Up for making the world an unglier, darker, unhappier place to be then ever before in the history of mankind.

By the way, have a nice day y'all.
