WASHINGTON, Aug. 7 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The Kerry-Edwards campaign announced today the members of its presidential debate negotiation team. The team includes elected leaders close to the campaign who have played important roles in John Kerry (news - web sites)'s run for the presidency and individuals experienced in presidential debate negotiation.
The team will be lead by Vernon Jordan and includes: Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano; Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm; Washington businessman and civic leader, Jim Johnson, who recently acted as head of John Kerry's vice presidential search committee and who has been involved with presidential debates since 1976; and Robert Barnett a renowned Washington lawyer who has also served as an active participant in presidential debate negations and preparations since 1976.
The Kerry-Edwards campaign announced on July 15th that it accepted the Commission on Presidential Debates' 2004 debate schedule.
